Notification on backlog posts soon: YSR

Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Sunday said notification for filling the SC, ST and BC backlog posts would be released with in one week.
He also promised to consider the demand of Veerashaiva community to include them in BCs by sending the proposal for the consideration to the BC Commission.
Addressing a huge gathering as part of ‘Sanskhema Sambaralu’ at Narayankhed and Tuniki near Narasapur, Dr. Reddy sought support of the people so that the government could extend more welfare schemes in the future. He said the government was ready to address any problem that comes to its notice.
“We have fulfilled not only the promises that we made but also those which were not made during our rule. Introducing Rajiv Arogyasri, loan waiver to farmers, increases in MSP for paddy and cotton and reduction of cotton seed cost by waging a fight with a multinational company are some of those,” he said.
Referring to the request made by local MLA Suresh Shetkar and former MLA P. Kishta Reddy regarding drinking water to more areas in Narayankhed constituency, Dr. Reddy said the issue would be addressed by Major Irrigation Minister Ponnala Laksmaiah including that of modernisation of Nallavagu.
Some of the gram sevaks, DSC-2002 batch qualifiers and some unemployed youth displayed placards at the meeting.
YSR calls on Narendra
Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy called on Nationalist Telangana Rashtra Samiti president and Medak MP A. Narendra at Care Hospital on Sunday. The MP had suffered a mild paralytic stroke a few days ago and is undergoing treatment at the hospital. Dr. Reddy enquired with the doctors about his well being. Doctors told the Chief Minister that his condition was stable and would be discharged in a couple of days.
