YSR leaves for Delhi
Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy left for New Delhi on a two-day visit on Tuesday.
He is expected to meet AICC president Sonia Gandhi to explain her about the political situation in the State. The Chief Ministerc is also likely to meet some Union Ministers, particularly Petroleum Minister Murli Deora, seeking prioritisation of gas-based power and fertiliser projects in the State and allotment of gas from Krishna-Godavari basin by Reliance Industries Limited.
‘YSR revolutionised healthcare sector’
Major Irrigation Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah said Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has revolutionised healthcare sector in the State by introducing Arogyasri scheme, 108 emergency ambulances, and now the 104 fixed day health service. “No State or central government ever took major initiatives such as these,” the Minister said.
